PebbleBash '16

The idea of future readiness will form the overarching theme for PebbleBash '16. We imagine this term will mean different things to different people (and that’s great) but if we were asked to sum up what it means to us, we’d have to say it’s all about how organisations support and fully prepare graduates and employees for a changing and ever more competitive world. You'll find more details below including information on how to grab a free place.

Where's it all happening?

The conference will take place at the University of Wolverhampton’s Telford Campus, the place where PebblePad started life more than a decade ago, when some of our team would have still been at school, HTML5 was the stuff of futuristic movies containing hoverboards, and Shane was, well, Shane! The evening fun, dinner, and awards will take place at Enginuity at the Ironbridge Museum. Having our fourth global conference at a venue that takes us back to our roots, and at a place renowned for its connection to innovation in industry, seemed like too good an opportunity to pass up.

Hold the press, event update!

We'll be hosting our traditional "International Big Day Out" after the main conference wraps up. On Thursday 15th September we'll be heading out into the beautiful Shropshire countryside to take in sights such as Much Wenlock, Stokesay Castle, and Church Stretton. If extending your PebbleBash fun sounds like an opportunity not to be missed, and you're wondering how to signup, all you have to do is select the "Big Day Out" option when booking your place.

What can I expect?

We always have big expectations for PebbleBash and this year will be no different. The roaring success of previous conferences means that we know for sure that the conference will be big on fun and big on brilliant ideas from experts and practitioners from across the globe.

Grabbing a free place at PebbleBash

If you're already excited about Pebblebash, we expect you'll be even more excited about the prospect of coming along for free. So, how do you go about grabbing yourself a free place? Well, it’s all pretty straightforward - we’re offering a free place to anyone who has a workshop session or research session accepted at the AAEEBL – CRA International Conference, hosted by Edinburgh University on 6 - 8 June, 2016. PebblePad is the lead sponsor of the conference and we’d like to see as many examples of amazing PebblePad practice being showcased as possible (without depleting your budget and preventing you coming to PebbleBash).

You can find everything you need to know about submitting to the conference on the AAEEBL site but please do make sure you have a peek at the Terms and conditions relating to the free place.
